Housing Justice Center Opposes Rule Change to the Housing Discrimination Complaint Form

HUD continues to try to make it harder for individuals to pursue their rights under the Fair Housing Act, most recently by proposing substantial changes to the Housing Discrimination Complaint Form.

HJC’s Grant Anderson, Special Counsel for Federal Response, submitted comments yesterday outlining for the federal government why HUD’s proposed changes disproportionately impact Minnesotans, are inconsistent with the Fair Housing Act and Violence Against Women Act, and fail as a matter of law under the Paperwork Reform Act.
