Angel joined Housing Justice Center in July 2024, motivated by her experiences as a longtime resident of affordable housing in the Twin Cities. She graduated in 2023 from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Science in Family Social Science and a minor in Social Justice.

Before coming to HJC, Angel worked throughout college with students across the Twin Cities in educational roles, including serving as a Literacy Mentor with CEHD America Reads and holding multiple positions with the college readiness program TRIO Upward Bound to support low-income students. Beyond her educational roles, Angel also worked in customer service throughout COVID and later as a barista—expanding both her love of caffeine and her patience for working with people.

At HJC, she leverages her technological and organizational skills to provide essential administrative support. Outside of work, Angel enjoys playing pickleball, exploring vegan cuisine, and capturing moments with her cat, Pasty.
