Alesha joined Housing Justice Center as the Strategic Coaching Associate and Policy Advocate. Prior to working at HJC, Alesha worked as a Research Project Associate at Chapin Hall at the University of Chicago, centering their work on racial equity though evidenced based practices in community and stakeholder engagement in youth homelessness prevention. Alesha has over ten years of combined lived experience and professional experience in driving solutions towards ending youth homelessness. They are excited to continue their advocacy through policy change and working with people with lived experience of homelessness on state and local level.
